Brad Gulbrandsen

Managing Partner

Brad is primarily responsible for the sourcing and evaluation of investment platforms and operating executives. Previously, Brad was an investor at Clayton Dubilier & Rice and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.

Brad received a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance, summa cum laude, from Brigham Young University, where he was a Gordon B. Hinckley Presidential Scholar.

Tyler Duke Northrim Horizon

Tyler Duke

Partner

Tyler is a Partner at Northrim Horizon. Tyler leads Northrim’s B2B software investing efforts. He has been helping grow and build great B2B software businesses for over a decade. Prior to Northrim, Tyler was an investor at JMI Equity, a private equity firm focused on investing in software and tech-enabled services businesses. He also spent time as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he focused on advising software and technology businesses.

Tyler received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University, where he was a Brigham Young Scholar.

Vice President

Brad is a Vice President at Northrim Horizon. Brad’s responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and structuring potential acquisitions as well as supporting the growth of Northrim’s investments in the healthcare and business services verticals. Prior to Northrim, Brad was an investor at Partners Group in its direct private equity buyout fund. Prior to Partners Group, he worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan in New York and Perella Weinberg Partners in San Francisco.

Max Matthews

Vice President of Corporate Development

Max is a Vice President of Corporate Development at Northrim Horizon. Max assists Northrim portfolio companies in all corporate development, acquisitions, and other value creation initiatives. Prior to Northrim, Max was a Senior Director of Business Development at EyeCare Partners. Prior to EyeCare Partners, he worked as a private equity associate at Ridgemont Equity Partners. He started his career as an investment banker at Fifth Third Securities in their M&A group. 

Max received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University, where he also played quarterback on the football team.

Justin Garner

Justin is an Associate at Northrim Horizon. Prior to Northrim, Justin was a Senior Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, where he advised private equity clients on M&A transactions across various industries including retail, consumer goods, and industrial goods.

Adam Moesel

Associate

Adam is an Associate at Northrim Horizon. Lee Harcourt

Controller

Lee is the corporate controller for Northrim Horizon and is the CEO of Sentier Finance, an outsourced financial controller company. Prior to Northrim, Lee was an Associate Director of Account and Financial Reporting at Manifest, a New York-based advertising firm, and a Senior Staff Accountant at CBIZ MHM, a financial consulting company.

Lee received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Arizona State University.

Andy Verchota

Andy serves as the CEO of Horizon Commercial Pool Supply in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to Northrim, Andy was the Head of Corporate Development & Business Development for 80 Acres Farms and was a Senior Manager at Bain & Company. He began his career as an Equity Analyst at Cortina Asset Management.

Jack serves as CEO of ITC Personal In-Home Care. Prior to Northrim, Jack was a Consultant at Bain & Company where he advised clients in several areas including growth equity diligence, healthcare operating models, and go-to-market post-merger integration. Prior to Bain, Jack worked in corporate strategy for Neiman Marcus Group, leading efforts across M&A, growth strategy, and cost reduction.

Jason Kremers

CEO, All Pro Security

Jason serves as the CEO of All Pro Security in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to joining Northrim Horizon, Jason was an Associate at McKinsey & Company where he advised diversified industrial conglomerates on strategic implementation and operational improvement initiatives. Before McKinsey, Jason served nearly a decade in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer and Special Operations Officer in the Raider Regiment, deploying three times to the Middle East in support of counterterrorism operations. 

Jason received a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.

Nick Thome

Before Bain, Nick spent almost 10 years in the United States Air Force, where he was a graduate of their elite Weapons Instructor Course.

Michael Choules

Vice President of Finance

Michael is the Vice President of Finance at Northrim Horizon. Michael works with Northrim portfolio companies to provide support and assistance across a variety of finance and accounting areas. Prior to Northrim, Michael was the Assistant Controller at Plexus Worldwide. Prior to Plexus, he worked at Onsemi in their accounting department and at Ernst & Young as an audit manager in their Phoenix office.

Michael received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He is a licensed CPA in Arizona.

Christian Richter

General Counsel

Christian is General Counsel for Northrim Horizon. Christian works with Northrim portfolio companies to provide counsel and assistance across a variety of legal areas. Prior to Northrim, Christian was an Associate at Snell & Wilmer LLP in Phoenix in the corporate & securities group and at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York and Hong Kong.

Vanessa

Vanesa Romero

Director of Integration

Vanesa is the Director of Integration for Northrim Horizon. Vanesa works with Northrim’s portfolio companies to develop, implement, and optimize accounting and finance departments, including integrating new acquisitions and implementing systems. Prior to this role, Vanesa was a Senior Director of Internal Audit for Apollo Education Group and a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their San Francisco office.

Vanesa received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a licensed CPA in California.
