Brad Gulbrandsen

Managing Partner

Brad is the Managing Partner of Northrim Horizon. Brad is primarily responsible for the sourcing and evaluation of investment platforms and operating executives. Previously, Brad was an investor at Clayton Dubilier & Rice and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.

Brad received a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance, summa cum laude, from Brigham Young University where he was a Gordon B. Hinckley Presidential Scholar.

Tyler Duke Northrim Horizon

Tyler Duke

Partner

Tyler is a Partner at Northrim Horizon. Tyler leads Northrim’s B2B software investing efforts. He has been helping grow and build great B2B software businesses for over a decade. Prior to Northrim, Tyler was an investor at JMI Equity, a private equity firm focused on investing in software and tech-enabled services businesses. He also spent time as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he focused on advising software and technology businesses.

Tyler received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University, where he was a Brigham Young Scholar.

Vice President

Brad is a Vice President at Northrim Horizon. Brad’s responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and structuring potential acquisitions as well as supporting the growth of Northrim’s investments in the healthcare and business services verticals. Prior to Northrim, Brad was an investor at Partners Group in its direct private equity buyout fund. Prior to Partners Group, he worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan in New York and Perella Weinberg Partners in San Francisco.

Brad received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accountancy as well as a Bachelor of Arts Minor in English from Arizona State University with an Honors distinction from Barrett, The Honors College.

Max Matthews Northrim Horizon

Max Matthews

Vice President of Corporate Development

Max is a Vice President of Corporate Development at Northrim Horizon. Max assists Northrim portfolio companies in all corporate development, acquisitions, and other value creation initiatives. Prior to Northrim, Max was a Senior Director of Business Development at EyeCare Partners. Prior to EyeCare Partners, he worked as a private equity associate at Ridgemont Equity Partners. He started his career as an investment banker at Fifth Third Securities in their M&A group.

Max received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University, where he also played quarterback on the football team.

Justin is an Associate at Northrim Horizon. Justin’s responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities as well as assisting in value creation initiatives across Northrim’s portfolio. Prior to Northrim, Justin was a Senior Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, where he advised private equity clients on M&A transactions across various industries including retail, consumer goods, and industrial goods.

Justin received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master’s in Accountancy from Brigham Young University, where he was a Brigham Young Scholar.

Adam Moesel Northrim Horizon

Adam Moesel

Associate

Adam is an Associate at Northrim Horizon. Adam’s responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities as well as assisting in value creation initiatives across Northrim’s portfolio. Prior to Northrim, Adam was an investor at Partners Group, where he focused on technology buyout and growth transactions. Adam has also spent time at Accel-KKR, M33 Growth, and Pelion Venture Partners.

Adam received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Lee Harcourt

Controller

Lee is the corporate controller for Northrim Horizon and is the CEO of Sentier Finance, an outsourced financial controller company. Prior to Northrim, Lee was an Associate Director of Account and Financial Reporting at Manifest, a New York-based advertising firm, and a Senior Staff Accountant at CBIZ MHM, a financial consulting company.

Lee received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University.

Joe Calland

CEO, Genesis Landscape Solutions

Joe serves as the CEO of Genesis Landscape Solutions in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to Northrim, Joe was a Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and was a Manager of Strategy at Treehouse Foods. He began his career as a Consultant at the Cambridge Group.

Joe received a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University.

Jack Lawson Northrim Horizon

Jack Lawson

CEO, ITC Personal In-Home Care

Jack serves as CEO of ITC Personal In-Home Care. Prior to Northrim, Jack was a Consultant at Bain & Company where he advised clients in several areas including growth equity diligence, healthcare operating models, and go-to-market post-merger integration. Prior to Bain, Jack worked in corporate strategy for Neiman Marcus Group, leading efforts across M&A, growth strategy, and cost reduction.

Jack received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame.

Tanner serves as the CEO of Total Apartment Solutions in Dallas, Texas. Prior to Northrim, Tanner was an Associate at McKinsey & Company and was Director of Store Operations at PetSmart. He began his career as an investment banking analyst for J.P. Morgan in Dallas.

Tanner received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor and Master of Accounting, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University.

Clark Peterson

CEO, Northstar Preschools

Clark serves as CEO of Northstar Preschools in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to Northrim, Clark was a Vice President at Newlight Partners LP (formerly known as Soros Fund Management), a $4+ billion private equity firm based in New York. Clark began his career as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse in New York.

Clark received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Nick serves as the CEO of Budget Brothers Termite & Pest. Prior to Northrim, Nick was a Manager at Bain & Company, where he advised Private Equity clients on M&A transactions. Before Bain, Nick spent almost 10 years in the United States Air Force, where he was a graduate of their elite Weapons Instructor Course.

Nick received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the United States Air Force Academy, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School.

Andy serves as the CEO of Horizon Commercial Pool Supply in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to Northrim, Andy was the Head of Corporate Development & Business Development for 80 Acres Farms and was a Senior Manager at Bain & Company. He began his career as an Equity Analyst at Cortina Asset Management.

Andy received a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Marquette University.

Vice President of Finance

Michael is the Vice President of Finance at Northrim Horizon. Michael works with Northrim portfolio companies to provide support and assistance across a variety of finance and accounting areas. Prior to Northrim, Michael was the Assistant Controller at Plexus Worldwide. Prior to Plexus, he worked at Onsemi in their accounting department and at Ernst & Young as an audit manager in their Phoenix office.

Michael received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He is a licensed CPA in Arizona.

Christian Richter Northrim Horizon

Christian Richter

General Counsel

Christian is General Counsel for Northrim Horizon. Christian works with Northrim portfolio companies to provide counsel and assistance across a variety of legal areas. Prior to Northrim, Christian was an Associate at Snell & Wilmer LLP in Phoenix in the corporate & securities group and at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York and Hong Kong.

Christian received a Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in English with minors in Chinese and Business Management from Brigham Young University. Christian is a member of both the New York and Arizona State Bars.
